Originally from N Ireland, Leigh graduated in 1999 and soon adopted Dundee as home.
Following an SHO post in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and Prosthetics at Ninewells and Dundee Dental Hospitals, she returned to general practice. Leigh has been part of the West End Dental team since 2012 and became the owner and principle dentist in 2021.
Leigh enjoys the variety of treatments undertaken in general practice and strives to provide high quality dental treatment in a caring environment. She believes in a preventative approach to dentistry and aims to ensure patients have a stress-free visit to the practice.
Outside of work Leigh is kept busy with her young family and catching up with friends. She enjoys her holidays and takes part in several outdoor activities including skiing, running, cycling and the now very rare round of golf.

Having gained a BSc in Genetics from the University of Glasgow, Lydia went on to achieve her BDS qualification from Aberdeen University in 2012.
She worked in Fort William and Glenrothes before joining The West End Dental Practice team in 2022.
Lydia enjoys working with anxious patients to make them feel more comfortable with dental treatments and has an interest in cosmetic dentistry.
Outwith work Lydia has been involved in coaching gymnastics and enjoys many outdoor activities with her young family. She is also a keen astronomer.

Following a previous scientific career studying anaesthetics and anxiety medications, Murray went on to study Dentistry. He joined us at West End in 2023
Murray enjoys being part of the dental team, working with our nurses to ensure patient needs are met in a caring and compassionate environment.
A keen advocate of preventive dentistry, he aims to give patients the knowledge and skills to maintain confidence in their smiles and oral health.
Outside of dentistry Murray spends most of his time with his young family and is a keen football, rugby and athletics fan

Our Manager

Sharon started working in the West End Dental Practice team in 1988 as a newly qualified dental nurse. She has been Practice Manager since 1995 and is responsible for keeping the practice running smoothly day-to-day. Her roles include staff management, patient care, appointments, accounts and keeping on top of practice paperwork. She is often front of house and is well known by all of our longstanding patients.
Sharon has a confident and passionate approach to our patients' care and strives to ensure that the patient visits are as positive as they can be.
Outwith work Sharon is a keen walker and football fan.
She has also gained her Reiki Master qualification and enjoys helping her clients who attend with with a variety of concerns.

Our Dental Nurses

Gill has been a member of The West End Dental Practice team since 1991 when she started her dental nurse training, qualifying in 1993.
She enjoys assisting the dentists in surgery and is great at putting patients at ease. Gill is also valued for her admin work and has a role in assisting management.
In her spare time Gill enjoys socialising, bingo and having quality time with her 4 children and 2 granddaughters.

Claire has been a member of the team at West End Dental Practice since joining us in 2000 for her dental nurse training, qualifying in 2003.
Claire's bubbly personality keeps patients' spirits up when they are in for their visits. She enjoys time working in the surgeries and also has a role in admin, particularly in ordering our stock to keep us going in our busy practice.
In her spare time Claire enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and going on foreign holidays.

Savanna started working as a dental nurse in 2023, beginning as a trainee and qualifying in 2025.
Throughout her training and qualification she has developed a strong passion for patient care, teamwork and supporting a positive clinical environment
She is keen to continue learning and developing her skills.
Outwith work Savanna enjoys spending quality time with her family and partner, and relaxing by watching new movies.
Mia Davidson

Mia has been a dental nurse since 2021 and joined our team at West End in 2026.
She has gained experience and knowledge across many aspects of dentistry.
Mia is naturally very friendly and enjoys helping patients feel relaxed and comfortable during their visits to the practice. She particularly enjoys being in the surgery and working hand in hand with the dentists to ensure patients receive the best care possible, while creating a calm and welcoming environment.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, partner and friends, and of course her dog, who she treats like a son!
She also enjoys going on holidays and relaxing, making the most of her downtime.
Our Dental Therapist

Rachel joined our team in 2025. She has a background working in both NHS and private practices.
She enjoys providing all dental treatments within her scope of practice, along with dental hygiene services which makes up the bulk of her work with us at West End.
Rachel loves being part of the West End Dental Practice team and helping patients with complex dental treatment.
Available with us on a Thursday she provides, on a private basis, Scale & Polish, extensive non-surgical periodontal therapy and extensive home care advice, supporting the dentists in the practice to get our patients the best from their oral care.
